Jim Black: President/CEO and owner/manager of Black Electric Inc. for more than 20 years. Jim coordinates and oversees the team and workforce from the initial client meeting to the final project closeout. His goal is maintain a close relationship between himself, his team and his clients to foster a dedication to customer satisfaction unparalleled in the industry. He holds a master’s electrical license in Dutchess, Putnam, Weschester and Orange counties, and in Poughkeepsie.
Daphne Black: Vice president of Black Electric Inc. She oversees human resources, accounting, payroll and office management. Daphne has been in the home building and construction industry for 24 years, most recently as a builder and project manager of single-family homes.
Bob Leonard: Project Manager of Black Electric Inc.’s commercial division. Bob has been in the electrical construction industry since 1972. He holds a degree in electrical engineering and many hours of additional study in business and engineering. During his years in the field, he has held positions in management, engineering and regulatory affairs.
Douglas Scholz: Project manager, Black Electric Inc., residential division. Douglas has more than 20 years of experience in electrical contracting. He has been a mechanic and working foreman. His coursework in the field includes code interpretation, electrical contracting and high-end lighting control systems. He served in the US Air Force as an EOD technician.
Eileen Dempsey: Office manager, Black Electric Inc. Eileen is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the business. She directs partner/customer inquiries and service requests in the commercial/municipal and residential areas. She is also responsible for working with project managers and the company’s owners on staffing, equipment and organizational needs.
